HIBBING, MN (CBS-3) – Vice President Mike Pence will hold a campaign rally at the Range Regional Airport in Hibbing on Monday afternoon.
Pence’s rally in Hibbing is still scheduled, despite several members of his staff testing positive for COVID-19.
Ken Martin, the Minnesota DFL Party Chair says “instead of doing the responsible thing and pulling down the event, here they come to have another super spreader event in the state of Minnesota.”
Ahead of Pence’s visit, DFL leaders gathered in Duluth on Sunday, expressing their disapproval.
Meanwhile, Republican leaders say they are excited to welcome the Vice President back to the Northland as Congressman Pete Stauber touted the importance of the Iron Range economic drivers like mining, and steelworkers.
The election is a week from Tuesday.
