DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The Duluth Central Labor Body honored the men and women who died on the job with a special Worker’s Memorial Day breakfast at the Labor Temple on Monday.
Following the breakfast, a program featuring Minnesota Lt. Governor Peggy Flanagan and the state AFL-CIO President Bernie Burnham was held.
A tree was also planted on the Labor Temple grounds to honor those workers killed or injured while working their jobs during the past year.
Superior will hold a Workers Memorial Service on Thursday with a breakfast at Aces on 28th followed by a 9 a-m tree planting at Heritage Park.
Mayor Jim Paine will read a proclamation, this year honoring Bob Brown.
